Why does my organization need PeerPro?

Working professionals struggling with drugs and alcohol are suffering in silence.

For too long, the entire healthcare, behavioral health, and addiction medicine fields have focused only on helping people when they are in crisis or have reached rock bottom. You can help your employees before they get to that point by providing this life saving service and helping to remove the stigma associated with substance use disorder.

Furthermore, it is vital to your business and overall health of your organization because of the serious costs substance use disorder puts on organizations:

  • Researchers estimate that lost work, healthcare costs, and lost productivity from drugs and alcohol cost businesses $81 billion dollars every year.

  • Lost productivity and absenteeism at work due to drug and alcohol abuses costs employers an estimated $25.5 billion each year.

When the issue of workplace substance abuse is addressed by establishing a comprehensive program, it is a "win-win" situation for both employers and employees. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, a recent study of the economic impact of substance abuse treatment found mind-blowing improvements in job related performance:

  • 91% decrease in absenteeism
  • 88% decrease in problems with supervisors
  • 93% decrease in mistakes in work
  • 97% decrease in on-the-job injuries
